Hogan’s Blog

I am sad to say this will be my last blog for ACVH.  My mom is going back to school to become a people nurse. The good news is I get to stay home all day with mom, and won’t have to get up early. The bad news is that I won’t get to write my blog and tell everyone about my adventures.  I hope you will still come visit  Animal Care Veterinary Hospital because it is truly an amazing animal hospital in which they care about your pet.   Maybe mom and I will see you out in town.   Bye

Everytime I hear my mother say “boat” I get excited.  She takes me often out on the lake, we stay out of the water mostly, but sometimes I go for a swim.  I don’t have the strongest swimming skills but someone always helps me while I swim.  I find a place to nap on the boat, napping and treats are my favorite thing about lake days.

I got into a little trouble today on my lunch break.  Mom and I were enjoying the nice weather outside, I decided to investigate the yard to see what smells were around today.  After I few minutes I find something. Eureka!  As I start to roll in it I hear mom say “No!”  I don’t know why she was upset, I thought it was awesome but she immediately carried me to the tub.  After 10 minutes of scrubbing….

After a little drying off  Ill be back to running around upfront playing with my toys. Yesterday I found some feathers from the Dove’s cage, I had a fun time smelling around.

I’ve been loving the weather playing outside a lot and going for walks.  Have a good day

I really do work….  I prefer to sleep but when its busy I get put to work. Looks like my task today is filing. 

After I am finished the girls upfront will let me visit with everyone and play with my toys. My mom lets me keep three toys upfront and I usually throw them everywhere. I promise I am not trying to make anyone trip but my toys get moved often. Come by and see me sometime at the office.

Mother and I had a business event to attend. Business After Hours, hosted by Weston Park this month. We were pictured on the DNJ website and in the newspaper the next day. 

I attend these event with mom to tell everyone about the great place I work. Mom passes me around and I get lots of hugs, its a great time. By the time we leave I am so tired mom has to carry me in her arms while I sleep, its exhausting doing all that work.  When we get home mom gives me a surprise, I love getting new toys and treats.

I’ve been visiting Gramma’s house a lot the past few weekends, while mom is away. I don’t mind Gramma’s too much, there is a lot to do. They have lots of animals and lots of room to sniff around.  I even go swimming if someone is around to supervise.  I helped with the garden, too.

Good Morning

Saturdays at the office are always a sleepy way to start the weekend, luckily its a sunny day and mom promises to take me for some outside fun after we get done working.  I always help a lot, greeting clients, licking the tile for a little clean up or just eating all the extra crumbs around. 

Also I had a little procedure done last week. I had what my mommy called a “growth” on my back. It didn’t hurt me, but mom said it was getting bigger and they had to take it off. I had to get a little shot which stung for a minute, but then I got treats while my nurse Ashley and Dr Taylor lasered off my growth.  Whatever a laser is…  but I didn’t feel a thing and now the growth is gone and I’ve gotten extra attention from mom.  My mom took pictures of my back, its healing great:

My new tie

I really enjoy my new hair cut after the weather warms up, but on the cold days mom makes me wear a sweater to keep warm….  Mom said I lost 8oz with the hair cut, so no diet for me I sure am itchy this week though, mom tells me “stop itching”, but it itches. Today my mom even rubbed some kind of cream on me, she said I’ll feel better.

Also , I looovvee to play ball, its one of my favorite things to do, I even play fetch.  I lose most of my balls under the couch and desk at home, but some balls I stash in certain areas so I can find them later. I tote my green ball all around with me when I am at work.

    Good Morning! I am still sleepy, sleeping under the front desk this morning.   I just wanted to post a blog today to let everyone know about the Rabies Clinic next week.  Next Monday 4/13 thru Saturday 4/18 Rabies shots will all be $10. Come in anytime that week and get your pets Rabies shots done. No appt is needed.  Luckily my shots are up-to-date, so I don’t have to get a shot.

Also last month I visited the nursing home at the Veterains Home. I thought I would post some pictures. I loved my visit and the residents were so nice to me.  Check these out:
